|National Exams ~ AHC BETA TEST|
The National Ayurvedic Medical Association is at a pivotal moment in it's history and that of the Ayurvedic profession in the United States. The NAMA board of directors is proud to announce the formation of the NAMA Certification Board (NAMACB), an autonomous auxiliary board of the Association.
Going forward, the NAMACB is the certifying body for the following professional designations:
Earning NAMACB certification represents a significant professional achievement.
As an emerging healthcare profession in the U.S., Ayurvedic medicine is not yet widely recognized. Building off of educational competencies and standards developed by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, NAMACB certification is the first well-established credentialing process for Ayurvedic medicine in the U.S.; as such, it provides one of the few means by which clients, healthcare entities, government agencies and others can determine whether individual practitioners are qualified.
NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAMS
A significant step in the process of earning NAMACB certification is to pass the National Certification Exam. The NAMACB National Certification Exam for the Ayurvedic Health Counselor level is scheduled to launch on April 1, 2017, with subsequent exams for the Ayurvedic Practitioner level to launch later that year.
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR AHC BETA TEST
In preparation for the AHC exam, NAMA and the NAMACB have opened registration for the AHC Certification Exam Beta Test. Although the beta test is not a requirement for NAMA professional membership at this time, we are asking as many recent AHC graduates and current NAMA professional members at the AHC level to take the exam in order to help us in the final development of the official exam.
