|Candidate Eric Grasser|
2016 NAMA Board Member Candidate
Name: Eric Grasser, MD, CAy, AP
State of Residence: New Mexico
Committee Service: Elections 2015
Membership Level: Professional Member - Ayurvedic Practitioner
Why would you like to serve on the board?
It has been my pleasure to serve on the NAMA Board of Directors since 2013. This is a critical time for the advancement of Ayurveda and its practice in North America. I truly feel that we need representation from practitioners who integrate this knowledge with other modalities as this is the future. I look forward to the opportunity to continue my service.
What skills and experience do you see yourself contributing that will support the management, direction, and growth of the association?
As a medical doctor, Ayurveda practitioner, and serious student of Yoga and Ayurveda, I have the skills and experience of serious academic study, extensive clinical practice, business development, ownership, and growth, leadership, social networking, and love of family and life. I will support the management and growth of NAMA by being an ambassador for Ayurveda in the medical community and bringing a youthful, global view towards the organization's growth.
Statement to the Membership:
Dear NAMA Members: Like so many of you, I have been blessed to discover the profound teaching of Ayurveda, despite being raised in a culture and geography distant from the roots of the Vedic Sciences. So deeply have I been touched and humbled by the teaching and teachers! Now Ayurveda is with me every waking moment. I bring to this election over 15 years of higher education in Western and Vedic Science. I completed two years of study with the Ayurvedic Institute in the US and India. I am the founder of UnityMedicine - Integrative Medicine & Ayurveda, where I have successfully integrated the practice of Western Medicine, Ayurveda, and Functional Medicine. I also teach online and I hosted the 2015 Ayurveda Summit. I bring to NAMA the skills and experience of serious academic study, extensive clinical practice, business development, ownership, and growth, leadership, social networking, and love of family and life. I look forward to serving you and I thank you for your vote.
