An organizational membership is for any organization that supports the mission, purpose and goals of NAMA; and wishes to provide financial support.
Three Types of Organizational Membership
>> An affiliate is any trade or business organization, such as state Ayurvedic associations, yoga associations, Vedic science associations, or other associations in support of NAMA's mission.
>> The corporate category includes those companies that provide products and/or services.
>> The educational category is open to schools that offer Ayurvedic education as well as colleges or universities that may offer Ayurvedic studies and related programs.
Upon receipt of your application and payment, your membership will be processed and approved. You will receive additional information about your membership and how to take advantage our online community.

A Professional Qualifying Program prepares its graduates to qualify as NAMA professional members:

The Standards Committee has developed these educational competencies, as well as the Scope of Practice for the Ayurvedic Profession. Please review these documents for a more comprehensive understanding of the educational standards established for Professional Qualifying Programs.
Peripheral Programs are supplemental to Professional Qualifying Programs. They can also be stand alone workshops, such as:
>> Programs that are in the format of seminars or intensives with 50 hours or less
>> Programs that are in the format of correspondence courses
Schools requesting their programs to be reviewed must meet the following criteria:
- Current organizational member of NAMA
- Meet the current educational requirements set by NAMA (for Professional Qualifying Programs)
- Assure all information communicated to students, perspective students, and the public-at-large is consistent throughout their application, including between the school's website, print advertising and state documentation
- Operates legally in each state where programs are offered as defined by the respective state's regulations governing post-secondary and vocational schools; i.e., the operation of the school is not violating state laws in regards to educational oversight
