Professional Membership

Fee: $150 per year (AHC, AP) or $250 per year (AD)

Professional membership is open to Ayurvedic professionals who meet our established qualifying criteria. If you are applying for the AHC professional membership you must have passed the CAHC exam through the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Certification Board. Step-by-Step Process for Applying for Professional Membership (NEW MEMBERS)



Step 1 - Create Online Account & Pay Dues (new members only**)

After confirming you qualify for professional membership and have completed and submitted your Professional Membership Application Supporting Documentation, create your online account and pay your membership dues.


>> Remember to submit your Professional Membership Application Supporting Documentation.


**Applicants who wish to upgrade from student or general to professional, download the application as directed below, but email it directly to NAMA with a note that you wish to upgrade (address is on the application). We will follow-up with you regarding next steps and online payment. Do not create another account. **


Step 2 - Download & Review Application

Ayurvedic Health Counselor or Ayurvedic Practitioner Applicants:  Download the Professional Membership Application Supporting Documentation PDF


>> Confirm that you qualify for professional membership by reviewing page 4 of the application document.  



Ayurvedic Doctor Applicants:  This is for long-standing advanced practitioners with an active clinical practice of at least 1,500 clinical hours over 5 years and/or BAMS doctors.

Please download this AD Application and submit as directed instead of the application above. Contact us after reading the application directions if you have any questions.




Step 3 - Gather & Submit Required Information

Complete the supporting documentation including any additional documents as indicated on page 3.


>> You may require your school administrator's signature if you graduated from a program not currently recognized by NAMA. Applicants will need to submit transcripts as well. Please review the application carefully to determine the additional documents you will need to complete your submission.  





Step 4  - Application Review

Once all of your supporting documentation and payment is received, and your application is complete, your membership will be reviewed for approval.  


>> Your membership cannot be approved or activated without all of the required documentation.





Step 5 - Membership Approval

After your membership is approved, you will receive information about accessing and completing your online profile. Additional details about your membership benefits will also be provided.





A Few Additional Notes About Professional Membership




**Upgrading From Student or General Member to Professional Member**

To upgrade to professional member, follow the instructions for applying for professional membership; however, do not create a new online account. Email your application directly to with a note that you wish to upgrade your membership.
