The Elections Committee Process

The 2019 Elections Committee is composed of at least two board members (not those running for seats) plus the Membership Manager. The committee will verify the credentials of all candidates and present those who are qualified first to the Ethics Committee for vetting, and then to the board for placement on the ballot. If more than four candidates appear on the election ballot, the four with the highest number of votes will be elected for three-year terms.

As per NAMA bylaws, the voting process currently consists of ballots made available to each NAMA member of record in good standing as of May 31, 2019. Each member may cast up to four votes but may vote for any single nominee only once. A minimum of 25 percent of the membership must vote for the election to be considered legal. Members with no email address will receive a paper ballot.

Thank you for your participation!
