The Sanskrit term Ayurveda translates to “knowledge of life,” and the principles of this ancient wisdom remind us that the entire web of life is intricately interwoven. With a unique emphasis on total wellness, the art and science of Ayurveda work to harmonize our internal and external worlds.

Ayurveda teaches us that we often go out of balance when our dominant or secondary dosha increases in our system. If these doshas increase too much, it fosters an environment where disease can take hold. Our current state is called Vikruti and through the practice of Ayurveda and Yoga, we strive to maintain a balance as close to our Prakruti as possible.
