Student Members Mingle: Establishing an Ayurvedic Herbal Apothecary

Monday, April 8th, 2024 at 5pm Pacific, with Vishnu Dass, NAMA AD

Join Vishnu Dass for an exploration into the development of your own Ayurvedic herbal apothecary. Having a well-established herbal pharmacy is an invaluable way to quickly meet the needs of each client and to minimize wait time in the dispensing of herb remedies. Also, being able to see and smell herbal medicines being prepared on-site, offers a unique, full sensory experience to everyone who visits your clinic. In this interactive lecture, participants will explore key points for developing and maintaining an herbal pharmacy including the selection and sourcing of classical and contemporary formulation, traditional herbs as well as other supplies and materials needed to maintain a thriving practice. Since there are uncountable classical formulations and traditional herbs used in Ayurveda, Vishnu will share practical tips for herbal product selection, based on the type of practice you have or envision.
