Are you passionate about Ayurveda and eager to contribute to the growth and success of our annual conference and other events? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join our 2026 Conference Committee!
Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in promoting and advancing Ayurveda and be aligned with the mission and vision of NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). Your dedication and enthusiasm will help us create impactful and educational events that further the practice of Ayurveda.
The primary goal of the Conference Committee is to support the development of our annual conference and additional events. By joining, you will help promote Ayurveda, provide educational opportunities, and advance the practice of Ayurveda.
Volunteer Role and Commitments
As a volunteer for the Conference Committee, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of our annual conference and other related events. Your contributions will help us promote, provide educational opportunities, and advance the practice of Ayurveda.
Objectives
Support Event Development: Assist in planning and organizing the annual conference and additional events.
Enhance Attendee Experience: Contribute ideas and efforts to ensure a high-quality experience for all attendees.
Collaborate with Peers: Work alongside fellow volunteers and professionals to achieve our shared goals.
Commitment Details:
Monthly Meetings: Volunteers will meet twice per month and weekly during the 3 months leading up to the conference.
Additional Tasks: Tasks will be assigned outside of meeting times, requiring up to 5 hours per month.
Availability: Volunteers must be able to commit to the designated meeting date and time, as well as allocate time for completing assigned tasks.
Absences: No more than 3 absences in any 6-month period.
Evaluation Skills: Ability to evaluate presentations.
Active Participation: Attend scheduled meetings and actively participate in discussions and planning.
Task Completion: Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and to the best of your ability.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other committee members and staff to achieve our goals.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional and positive attitude, representing our organization with integrity.
Attend the Conference: Commit to 4 hours in-person to support the flow and effectiveness of the event.
