Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

NAMA is committed to raising awareness and deepening understanding of the issues of diversity, inclusion, and transparency in our organization and the larger Ayurvedic community. In August 2020, NAMA launched the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee to guide this process. To extend the benefits of Ayurveda and NAMA’s support of its Ayurvedic professionals across an increasingly diverse population, the committee creates opportunities for raising one’s awareness that foster acceptance and respect for the dignity of all regardless of race, ethnicity, cultural or religious background, gender or sexual orientation, age, or disability status.

In keeping with the spirit of Ayurveda, NAMA stands in support of all communities that make up our diverse nation and world. The safety, inclusion and well-being of our entire community is intrinsic to our mission. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, anti-racism and cultural competence among our leadership, staff and members.
