Menopause is a critical period in a women’s life when loss of ovarian follicular activity is characterized biologically by decline in fertility, endocrinologically by alteration of gonadotropins and steroid hormone levels, and clinically by variation in menstrual cycle length and onset of a variety of physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms. Ayurveda’s holistic, individualized approach to this time of life not only relieves menopausal symptoms but also addresses the aging and allied problems that occur as a side effect.

Vaidya Vandana Baranwal, AD, BAMS, MD (Ayu), lives in Dublin, Ohio. She is founder of AyurveDari – Women Wellness Solutions. She connects women to the ancient healing science of Ayurveda for self-healing and well-being. She has more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice, research, education, teaching, and training in Ayurveda.
