Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory autoimmune condition in which the immune system attacks healthy joints, resulting in chronic pain and deformities. Long-term use of conventional treatments such as steroids or biological response modifiers can lead to potentially serious complications. Ayurveda includes a beautiful preventative and management protocol that offers practitioners who face these issues a safe, effective tool for improving treatment outcomes.

Manju Kolli, CAP, is an Ayurvedic practitioner based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the founding director of Ayurhitam, an Ayurvedic wellness clinic. Manju served as a clinical pharmacist in the allopathic medical field for over 15 years. This background optimizes her ability to select an effective treatment for every patient and lends a uniquely credible voice to the field’s efforts to demonstrate the clinical effectiveness of Ayurveda in our times. Her vision is to return Ayurveda to its former glory.
