Application Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist Program 

An Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist graduate will be someone who has at least the Ayurvedic education of an AHC and the training, practice and principles of yoga based on the Ayurvedic understanding of the nature of patient, the nature of imbalance and the nature of therapies, who will be able to promote healing through a harmonious state of body and mind with respect to individual consciousness.

To become a NAMA recognized Ayurveda Yoga Therapist program, please first read through the following steps carefully to understand the application process. To apply click the orange “Apply Today!” link below. 


Step 1:

Download and read the Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist Program Outline for Competency → to ensure your program will meet the NAMA standards.

Step 2:

Access the application via the orange “APPLY TODAY!” button, below, after reading through all five steps here. Once you complete the AYT application you will be prompted to pay the $250 application fee.

The online application is 11 pages long and can be saved a page at a time, but does need to be completed in one sitting. The application could take up to 45 minutes to complete. We suggest you review the sample application form form to gather all the needed information before starting the application process. 

Step 3:

You are required to provide the following supporting documents with your application. Please ensure you have all these documents before starting the application process. Each attachment must be less than 30 MB in order for your submission to process.

  1. Lead Faculty Resumes/CVs (Lead faculty is those teaching the main portions of your program. If in doubt, please attach the resumes/CVs)

  2. Program Enrollment Application

  3. School Catalog

  4. Student Code of Conduct (Please provide if not included in school catalog)

  5. School Handbook (For example, student grievance policy, refund policy, etc., if not already included in school catalog)

  6. Sample Student Transcript (for tracking student progress)

  7. Proof of legal operation from your state Department of Education or Post-secondary Trade School. See explanatory information here →

Step 4:

New New schools not currently a NAMA Organizational Member will be required to Organizational Member ($400 annual dues) if their AYT program becomes NAMA recognized. More information on NAMA school dues and fees can be found here.

Step 5:

If your program is awarded NAMA recognition you will be required to pay the first year $750 educational program listing fee. This link will be provided to you upon acceptance of the program.
