Addiction and Attachment: Ayurveda Offers Understanding and Solutions

July 22, 2019 with Myra Lewin, ERYT 500, AP, AYT

The holistic science of Ayurveda offers a framework for understanding and resolving the afflictions in life - including addiction and attachment. In this seminar, we will explore the interplay of mind, body, and spirit as treatments and practices are introduced and as an individual moves toward a life of genuine contentment. Points for discussion will include the value of balanced ahar, vihar, dinacharya, herbs, panchakarma, and dosha balancing treatments, as well as yoga practices that increase sattva and reduce rajas and tamas in the mind.
