NAMA Announces Appointment of 2025 President and President-elect and Two New BOD Members

Under the guidance of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Board of Directors, along with the dedicated support of staff, NAMA aims to solidify its role as the leading voice for Ayurvedic professionals and further its mission to advance Ayurvedic medicine in the USA. NAMA proudly announces the appointments of two officers of the Board of Directors for the year 2025 - 2026:

  • Rucha Kelkar, BAMS, PT, DPT,  2025 - 2026 NAMA President

  • Sushma Jakkula, BAMS, MPH, CPH,  2025 - 2026 NAMA President-elect

Two new members to the Board of Directors were elected for the term July 1, 2025 to June 30,  2028, collectively, bringing deep experience and understanding of Ayurveda and the community they serve:

  • Shannon Kelly, ADLC, Faculty and Administration, The Ayurvedic Institute 

  • Beena Vesikar, BAMS,  MD (AYU), ADLC, Founder and President of Beayurvedic Center

Collectively, the new Directors bring deep experience and understanding of Ayurveda and the community they serve.
