Course Description:
Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork Specialist Program (AMBSP) includes practice and study of 12 Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork modalities and supportive Ayurvedic education, delivered in 9 modules.
Students have the option of registering for the whole program or for individual 6- or 12-hour modules, and students may enter the program at any time and take the modules in any sequence. This course is ongoing and rollover modules so you can join any time!

There are 12 Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork modalities delivered in 9 modules.

This AMBSP offers practice and study of 12 Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork modalities delivered in 9 modules.
The modalities included are the most often utilized in Ayurvedic wellness, Panchakarma or spa environments and offer a detailed and well-rounded experience in: Garshana, Abhyanga, Vishesh, Shirodhara, Udhvartana, Nadi Swedana, Marma Chikitsa Part 1 and Part 2, Pinda Swedana-3 types: Valuka, Patra, Shashtika Shali, Basti-3 types: Kati Basti, Uro/Hridaya Basti, Janu Basti, Nadi Swedana; Full Body Steam, and Sinus/SANS; Shiro/Abhyanga/Nasya, and Pranayama, and Ayurvedic Detox, Rejuvenation and Purvakarma.
Modules include supporting Ayurvedic information relevant to the modality being studied, Ayurvedic assessment techniques, adaptations, product information and how to incorporate Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork into an Ayurvedic healing paradigm or other types of health care or massage settings.
We also offer a 4 module Ayurvedic Detox and Rejuvenation & Purvakarma program.
Those that register for the AMBSP program receive our 275 page course manual in advance and those who register for individual modules will receive detailed handouts for each one they participate in.
Tuition also includes a certificate of completion, CEU's for CEBroker Approved Provider #50-19283, NCBTMB Approved Provider #1192 and NAMA-PACE for Ayurvedic Professionals and Marma Chikitsa additionally provides CEU for Yoga Alliance and bonus online videos and resources are also included.

Course Objectives
1. Students will learn how to perform 12 Ayurvedic Massage and Bodywork Modalities listed in detail on our website.
2. Students will learn foundation and theory of Ayurveda as it pertains to Ayurvedic Massage and Bodywork and Panchakarma
3. Students will learn the role these modalities play in Ayurveda's signature panchakarma programs and adaptations to other health care or massage settings
4. Students will learn Ayurvedic assessment techniques in order to make appropriate adaptations for each modality
5. Students will learn indications and contraindications for each modality
6. Students will learn information about oils used and products needed and how to adapt them for the individual according to their dosha (Ayurvedic Constitution) and condition
7. Students will learn how to set up their treatment room and applications for integrating Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork into their practice

Provider Bio: Chaya is the founder of ChayaVeda Integrative Healing Arts, and is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Holistic Health Educator, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapist, with a BA in Food and Nutrition. Chaya’s strong background and experience in holistic health education and program facilitation provide in-depth study and expansiveness to her lesson plans, teaching style, and her well thought out course syllabus, organized for a balanced, cohesive, immersive and transformative experience with a combination of demonstration, observed student practice, power points and lively discussion. Chaya was faculty and staff at Kripalu Center, and other prominent Ayurvedic, Yoga and Medical Centers for decades, while learning from renown educators and practitioners in India and the US. Her decades of commitment and experience dub her a teacher of distinction, and her ability to reach in for the spiritual pertinence, noted as breathtaking.
