Course Description
Embark on a transformative 300-hour certification journey in Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™ and PanchaKarma, grounded in the refined wisdom of the Shaka Vansiya Ayurveda (SVA) lineage of Vaidya R.K. Mishra. This program begins with Level 1, a 12-week online/live format where you engage weekly in live classes, receive a professional manual and treatment-video library, connect via student forum, and absorb the clinical theory, marma-based physiology and hands-on protocols in preparation for deeper immersion. Next you advance into Level 2 & 3, a 10-day on-site practicum held in Santa Barbara, where you will give, receive, and refine the full body of PanchaKarma and Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™ therapies including abhyanga, swedana, shirodhara, udvartana, pinda and marma-therapy in an intimate group setting. Through this layered approach you will grow skill, sensitivity and professional presence — from technical competence in treatments to the subtle ability to hold a sattvic healing container for a client’s detox and rejuvenation process. While you will not diagnose or independently prescribe, upon completion you will hold the certification of Certified PanchaKarma Technician (CPT) and be equipped to perform key bodywork and cleanse modalities under supervision in spa, clinic or private-practice environments. (Additional licensing may be needed to perform bodywork therapies in your State). Rooted in integrity, lineage, and sacred touch, this program invites you to serve not only bodies but the deeper life-force within each person.
Course Objective:
Students gain the vocational skills of a Certified PanchaKarma Technician, to perform practitioner-lead PanchaKarma treatments in a spa, clinic or private practice. Students will be able to perform the full range of core PanchaKarma bodywork therapies—including abhyanga, swedana, shirodhara, sense therapies, pinda, udvartana, marma-based touch, and other supportive treatment sequences. Students will understand how to administer these treatments with professionalism and grace and adherence to SVA’s ancient lineage protocols and channel-protecting approach. Students will learn to observe and respond to subtle physiological and pranic cues—such as temperature changes, breath patterns, relaxation responses, and shifts in flow—ensuring every therapy is delivered safely, gently, and harmoniously for clients undergoing detox and rejuvenation.Students will gain grounding in essential Ayurvedic principles relevant to bodywork, including the historical background of PanchaKarma and of each individual treatment therapy covered, including the 5 classic PanchaKarma treatment techniques; vamana (emesis), virechana (purgation), basti (herbal enemas), nasya (nasal therapy), and raktamokshana (bloodletting).
