The National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) invites experienced Ayurvedic professionals, researchers, educators, and integrative healthcare leaders to submit proposals for the 2027 NAMA Virtual Conference: Clinical Ayurveda in Contemporary Practice.
This international virtual conference will bring together Vaidyas, Ayurvedic practitioners, educators, researchers, students, and allied healthcare professionals to explore how classical Ayurvedic wisdom can inform contemporary clinical practice and advance whole-person healthcare.
Through engaging presentations, expert panels, and interactive discussions, the conference will showcase innovative clinical applications, emerging research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical approaches that strengthen the role of Ayurveda in today's evolving healthcare landscape.
Whether you are sharing years of clinical experience, presenting new research, or exploring innovative models of integrative care, we invite you to contribute your expertise to this inspiring gathering of the Ayurvedic community.

Ayurveda offers a sophisticated clinical framework that has guided individualized healthcare for thousands of years and continues to provide valuable insights for addressing today's complex health challenges.
The 2027 NAMA Conference explores how Ayurvedic principles, assessment methods, and therapeutic approaches can be thoughtfully applied within contemporary clinical settings while remaining grounded in the classical tradition. Presentations will highlight practical clinical applications, emerging research, collaborative healthcare models, and innovative approaches that advance the future of Ayurveda.

Applicants may submit proposals for up to three presentation opportunities. Presentation proposals will be evaluated based on:
Clinical and professional expertise
Experience presenting educational content
Relevance to the conference theme
Educational value and practical application
Integration of classical Ayurvedic principles and current research, where appropriate
Overall quality and clarity of the proposal

CONFERENCE AUDIENCE
NAMA conference attendees possess a solid foundation in Ayurvedic principles and represent all stages of professional development—from students and recent graduates to highly experienced practitioners and educators.
Presentations should be designed for a professional audience and move beyond introductory concepts. While brief background information may be included for context, sessions should emphasize advanced clinical application, critical thinking, practical implementation, and current research where appropriate.
Presenters are encouraged to include references to classical Ayurvedic texts, peer-reviewed literature, and other credible resources whenever applicable.
PRESENTATION FORMATS

Panel discussions feature two to three subject matter experts examining a shared topic through complementary clinical perspectives.
Each panelist will present for approximately 15–25 minutes, followed by a moderated discussion and audience Q&A.
We are seeking presenters with demonstrated clinical, educational, or research expertise who can contribute meaningful perspectives and engage in thoughtful dialogue.

Individual presentations provide an opportunity for an in-depth exploration of a focused clinical topic.
Sessions should offer practical, evidence-informed educational content that is firmly rooted in classical Ayurvedic principles while demonstrating relevance to contemporary clinical practice.

This panel will explore interdisciplinary communication, ethics, professional identity, scope of practice, and practical strategies for integrating Ayurveda into contemporary healthcare settings while preserving the integrity of the classical tradition.
Chronic Disease & Integrative Care
Building Collaborative Models for Integrative Cancer Care (Individual Presentation)
Ayurveda can play an important supportive role throughout the cancer journey when thoughtfully integrated with conventional oncology care. This session will explore collaborative models that enhance quality of life, promote resilience, and support whole-person healthcare through individualized nutrition, lifestyle, mind-body practices, herbal medicine, and compassionate patient-centered care. Clinical experience and emerging research are encouraged.
Clinical Ayurveda for Hormonal Health & Women's Wellness (Individual Presentation)
Ayurveda offers a comprehensive framework for supporting women's health throughout every stage of life. This session may explore clinical applications for menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, perimenopause, menopause, endocrine balance, and related conditions through personalized nutrition, lifestyle, herbal medicine, and integrative clinical care.
Orthopedics and Clinical Ayurveda (Panel)
Musculoskeletal disorders remain among the most common concerns encountered in clinical practice. This panel will explore collaborative approaches that integrate Ayurvedic therapies with contemporary orthopedic and rehabilitative care. Topics may include pain management, injury recovery, chronic inflammatory conditions, movement therapies, rehabilitation, and strategies that optimize long-term function and patient outcomes.
Prevention & Healthy Aging
Rasayana & Preventive Care for Healthy Aging (Panel)
Healthy aging has become one of the defining priorities of modern healthcare. This panel will explore how the Ayurvedic science of Rasayana supports vitality, resilience, cognitive health, and longevity through personalized nutrition, lifestyle, herbal medicine, and rejuvenative therapies. Presenters are encouraged to highlight both classical wisdom and emerging research that promote healthy aging throughout the lifespan.
Brain Health and Cognitive Wellness Through Ayurveda (Individual Presentation)
Ayurveda offers a rich understanding of the relationship between the mind, nervous system, and overall health. This session will explore clinical approaches to supporting memory, concentration, emotional resilience, and healthy brain aging through personalized Ayurvedic care while considering emerging research and advances in neuroscience.
From Agni to Gut Health: Integrating Ancient Wisdom with Modern Science (Individual Presentation)
Digestive health is central to both Ayurveda and contemporary medicine. This presentation will explore the relationship between agni, digestion, metabolism, inflammation, and the microbiome while highlighting practical clinical applications that bridge classical Ayurvedic principles with current scientific understanding. Presenters are encouraged to share clinical insights, case studies, and research that demonstrate the importance of digestive health as a cornerstone of whole-person healthcare.
Mind-Body Health
Whole Person Care for Mental Health (Panel)
Mental and emotional well-being are essential components of whole-person healthcare. This panel will explore Ayurvedic approaches to supporting resilience, emotional balance, stress reduction, and nervous system regulation through personalized nutrition, lifestyle, herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, and daily practices. Presenters are encouraged to integrate classical Ayurvedic perspectives with contemporary clinical experience and emerging evidence.
Presenter Expectations
Selected presenters will be expected to:
Deliver educational content appropriate for a professional audience.
Submit presentation materials by the published deadlines.
Be available for up to a 1.5 hour virtual planning session
Include references to classical texts and/or current research where appropriate.
Participate in live Q&A following their presentation.
Adhere to NAMA's educational and professional standards.
To support the conference and foster a shared professional experience, presenters are asked to register for the conference. As a token of appreciation for their contribution, accepted presenters will receive a $100 discount on their conference registration.
SUBMISSIONS REVIEW
The Conference Planning Committee will review all submissions based on educational quality, clinical relevance, presenter qualifications, and overall balance of the conference program.
Please note that final presentation titles, session formats, and scheduling are determined by the Conference Committee to create the strongest possible educational program.
