Course Delivery Method Live (In Person)

Course Description
This summer solstice Guru-Kula-style seminar is now an annual retreat at my home in Surrey, BC.After teaching this method internationally in India, the US, and soon in Mexico, with Dr. Lad’s precious blessings, I’m now continuing the four-day retreat program.I remember Dr. Lad’s prophetic words from early in my training: “When you master the pulse reading, the Indian doctors will seek you out to learn.”Even today, graduating Ayurveda physicians in India do not learn this critical skill due to large class sizes and a shortage of skilled practitioners/teachers.I was able to learn this technique only because of an apprenticeship training, the only Ayurveda path available to me at the time, which started some thirty years back.Nadi Pariksha is the primary skill of the Ashta Vidha Pariksha (Eight-Fold Assessment science), learned over many years and requiring consistent practice. It is best learned in person with individual attention.

Course Objective:
1. Locate, feel, and interpret all seven layers of the Nadi, on a live client using the method taught by Dr. Vasant Lad, confidently distinguishing subtle pulse qualities that most Ayurveda practitioners never learn in formal training. 2. Assess both Sharirika (physical) and Manas (mental/emotional) Prakruti and Vikruti through pulse alone, giving them a powerful, non-invasive tool to deepen client intake and refine their clinical picture. 3.Conduct a complete Nadi Pariksha assessment within a real consultation setting integrating pulse findings with case study analysis to inform personalized treatment protocols. 4. Identify constitutional imbalances in real time, on classmates, colleagues, and clients, through supervised hands-on practice with immediate instructor feedback in a small-group Gurukula environment. 5. Elevate their professional credibility and scope as an Ayurveda practitioner by earning up to 24 NAMA P.A.C.E. continuing education credits and gaining a rare, apprenticeship-level skill that even graduating physicians in India rarely receive.
