Course Description
ĀyurSoul® Ayurvedic Meditation & Prāṇāyāma Facilitator Training is a 60-hour continuing education program designed for Ayurvedic Professionals, Ayurvedic Health Counselors, and integrative wellness practitioners seeking advanced competency in meditation and prāṇāyāma within a classical Ayurvedic framework. Rooted in the wisdom of the Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, this training integrates elemental theory (pañca mahābhūta), doṣic assessment (prakṛti and vikṛti), the five vāyus, and the kosha model to support constitutionally appropriate meditation and breath prescription. Participants are trained to assess respiratory patterns, nervous system presentation, and constitutional tendencies in order to design and facilitate individualized and group-based sessions. The curriculum includes both classical prāṇāyāma techniques (e.g., Nāḍī Śodhana, Anulom Vilom, Bhrāmarī, Kapālabhāti, ratio breathing) and elemental meditation methodologies progressing through dhāraṇā (concentration), dhyāna (meditation), and non-dual awareness practices. The program further integrates evidence-informed respiratory physiology, including gas exchange principles, oxygen–hemoglobin dynamics, CO₂ tolerance, and diaphragmatic mechanics. Participants examine the role of breath in autonomic regulation, stress response modulation, and polyvagal-informed trauma-sensitive facilitation. Contraindications, scope of practice, and ethical referral standards are emphasized to ensure safe application within professional boundaries. Learning objectives include: Applying Ayurvedic elemental and doṣic theory to meditation and prāṇāyāma prescription. Assessing prakṛti/vikṛti and respiratory presentation to select appropriate techniques. Demonstrating competency in classical prāṇāyāma instruction and ratio progressionIntegrating kosha and vāyu models into session designFacilitating trauma-informed meditation and breathwork within scope of practice. The course consists of online theoretical modules and supervised live practicum hours, including case-based application, sequencing development, and assessed teaching demonstrations.ĀyurSoul™ strengthens the practitioner’s ability to integrate meditation and prāṇāyāma as clinically relevant tools within Ayurvedic consultation, lifestyle counselling, and holistic health practice. This program deepens classical understanding while equipping professionals with practical, physiology-informed skills suitable for contemporary clinical and wellness settings.

Course Objective:
Core Learning ObjectivesUpon successful completion of the ĀyurSoul™ Vedic Meditation & Prāṇāyāma Facilitator Training, participants will be able to:1. Conduct Ayurvedic Breath & Meditation AssessmentsEvaluate an individual’s prakṛti and vikṛti alongside observable respiratory patterns to design constitutionally appropriate meditation and prāṇāyāma sequences, including elemental and doṣa-based therapeutic applications.2. Facilitate Professional Meditation & Prāṇāyāma SessionsLead structured one-on-one and group meditation and prāṇāyāma sessions using clear instructional language, appropriate pacing, and effective facilitation techniques that support participant engagement and safety.3. Apply Classical Yogic and Ayurvedic PracticesIntegrate a range of traditional practices - including classical prāṇāyāma techniques (e.g., Nāḍī Śodhana, Bhrāmarī), mantra, mudra, and kośa-based meditation frameworks—to support restoration of balance within the mind-body system.4. Implement Safety, Ethics, and Trauma-Informed FacilitationApply safety screening, contraindication awareness, and trauma-informed facilitation principles informed by respiratory physiology, stress response science, and ethical scope of practice guidelines.
