Course Description
This Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™ training focuses on the ancient healing art of Abhyanga. It includes a 20-hour online training and a 5-day live, hands-on practicum. Rooted in lineage, precision, and Marma touch, this 60-hour training empowers you to bring Abhyanga, the Ayurvedic warm oil massage, into your hands, your practice, and your service to others. Whether performed solo or in the traditional synchronized two-therapist style, Abhyanga stands as a powerful, stand-alone healing therapy that enriches any bodywork or healing practice.

Course Objective:
Participants will learn the essential historical context, theoretical foundations, and core principles of Abhyanga during the online portion of the training, gaining a deep understanding of this classical Ayurvedic oil therapy. In the 5-day hands-on practicum, students will both give and receive the nourishing warm-oil massage, developing refined touch, proper body mechanics, and confidence in delivering a complete 1-hour (or longer) Abhyanga treatment sequence. They will also learn the art of preparing herbalized oils, the basics of marma therapy as applied within Abhyanga, and the subtle awareness needed to work with prana, set-up and flow of Abhyanga treatment, and how to personalize a session for the clients needs. Through guided practice and skilled supervision, participants will embody the therapeutic presence and fluidity essential to authentic Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™. By the end of the training, students will be equipped to offer a beautiful, grounded, and professionally structured Abhyanga session. Some States require additional licensing to touch, regulations and scope of practice will be discussed with each participant.
