Course Description
This is an immersive weekend devoted to remembering your relationship with the natural world and experiencing the five great elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—as profound sources of healing. Through hands-on experiences, contemplative practices, and embodied learning, you’ll reconnect with the living landscape around you and bring this wisdom back to your families, communities, students, and clients.
Course Objective:
Connection to Land and the Five Great Elements as Medicine- as a way to then lead clients and community in nature based meditation practicesLavender Distillation as a way to understand the medicinal constituents of plants- this also empowers one to understand the relationship between dhatu formation/nutrition through observation of plants becoming hydrosol and essential oils. Students leave with product information to then share with future clients on medicinal benefits of lavender hydrosol, plant and essential oil. Foraging Wild Plants as a way to learn the to identify and medicinal uses of local wild plants of New England - student will leave with a basic understanding of plant ID as a way to forage wild food/medicines for self and future clients/community.Weave a small, functional berry basket: Ideal for foraging berries, nuts, and mushrooms- sattva boosting practice, connection with ancestral skills, creating a tool for wild foraging.
