This seminar will illuminate the disease profile of amavata (rheumatoid arthritis) with relevant facts and statistics and explore Ayurvedic pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis, and the value of differential diagnosis. Dr. Parla will review the importance of lab and imaging reports and the prescription drugs commonly used to treat this disease and their cautions and suggest appropriate Ayurvedic herbs. His discussion of the issues surrounding interdisciplinary communication and co-management for Ayurvedic practitioners will feature case studies and examples of treatment protocols.
Jayagopal Parla, is founder and director of Athreya Ayurvedic Integrative Health Center in Long Beach, CA. A professor of Ayurvedic Medicine with over 20 years of teaching and clinical experience, he is an internationally known speaker.
